1. Waiting until major life events occur
You don't have to wait until you have children or get married to get life insurance. It's actually a lot easier to get coverage when you're single because at that time you're locking in on lower premiums and you don't have to defer to anyone about the decision. Later on, you can add your new family on as beneficiaries but at least you'll already be grandfathered in to coverage, especially as you go to adjust it.

2. Waiting til they're older
When we're young, we all feel invincible. But unfortunately, time comes for us all. If you are currently in good health but don't have coverage, what are you doing?! Get insurance now and ask about living benefits.

3. Relying solely on employer provided life insurance
