Unrealistic Expectations
A little wiser, a little more cynical that kind of leads right into expectations so in life and in relationships, we all have expectations founded or unfounded. Those expectations come from society, they come from our upbringing, our circle of influence, which is music, television, social media, our friends, our family, our community, the people that we spend time with and those expectations can be useful and they can be extremely detrimental yeah, and relationships and physical health and mental health, a lot of our expectations uh are silly. In physical health, we look on social media and we see guys like Sam Sulak or some of these other guys that spend a lot of their time and dedicate their lives to a physique and an outcome and we get really disappointed when we don't aren't able to meet that expectation in one month at the gym the expectation of one month at the gym achieving that is ridiculous and it's about expectation to set you up for failure the same thing is true in relationships. We have women get Disney ideas about relationships and men get those aren't met we're very disappointed expectations in life we're told when we were kids, at least in my generation that you're gonna go to school and you're gonna learn and you're gonna go to school and you're gonna learn and you're gonna graduate and you're gonna get a company for or get a job with a good company and you're gonna work there your whole life and work hard and climb the corporate ladder and do really well and you pay well and have a good life and retire. That's wrong. Those expectations were completely false. In the current generation, you go to college and graduate and get out of get out of college and immediately make 150 k that expectation is false. You are sold lies and because of those expectations that you have a lot of people end up in depression. We see people on social media out there living their best lives very often it's fake and you no longer have the per view of a few hundred people in your community. You have the per view of the entire globe feel bad about yourself. You have weird expectations about what your life should be not not understanding that either that person got extremely lucky was born into it or they worked very, very hard of a long period of time to accomplish that either way, the expectations are are false and because those false expectations, we perceive ourselves to be suffering
