Difficult birch tree removal from confined backyard

I begin by using a Stalpen tree jack to ensure that the tree falls in the right direction, without the need for pulleys, ropes, heavy machinery, or climbing. With a sharp Husqvarna 550 xpg chainsaw, you get a close-up view of me making a regular notch relatively high up the trunk.

As I progress, I shave the sides of the trunk to prevent the bark from twisting the tree and causing it to fall in the wrong direction. Then, I make the back cut and let the tree fall beautifully in the right spot, while multiple cameras capture the cutting and falling process from various angles.

Once the tree is down, I limb the trunk and prepare it for removal. This video is a valuable resource for anyone interested in precision tree felling or looking for tips on how to remove a tree from their backyard.
