The Reel Ad-Venture Film Editing Event in Genshin Impact Version 5.4 is a creative, limited-time event where players can craft advertisements by editing pre-recorded footage into cohesive sequences. Introduced in the Version 5.4 update, which launched on February 12, 2025, and runs until March 26, 2025, this event tasks Travelers with producing ads based on specific scripts for various in-game clients. It began on March 12, 2025, and concludes on March 24, 2025, with new stages unlocking daily over its first five days.
How to Unlock and Start
To participate, you need:
Adventure Rank 20 or higher.
Completion of the Archon Quest Prologue: Act III - "Song of the Dragon and Freedom" in Mondstadt.
(Optional but recommended) Completion of the Tatara Tales world quest series in Inazuma for a richer experience, as it ties into the event’s NPC, Xavier.
Start the event by speaking to Xavier near Cafe Lutece in the Court of Fontaine. After a brief dialogue, the event becomes accessible via the in-game events menu.
Gameplay Overview
Each stage provides a synopsis outlining the ad’s narrative. Players select and arrange film assets (pre-recorded clips) into a timeline to match the script’s intent. The goal is to earn a Rave Review by creating a coherent and satisfying advertisement. Once a Rave Review is achieved, you can freely experiment with the assets, adjusting lengths and sequences without script restrictions.
The event features five stages, each representing a unique commission:
A Vital Choice - An ad for the Knights of Favonius’ alchemical potions.
Wanmin: Where Life Tastes Better! - A promotion for Wanmin Restaurant.
Invoke the Path to Victory - A Genius Invokation TCG deck ad by the Arataki Gang.
Focus on Your Future - A Sumeru Akademiya script about vocational focus.
Boundless Adventure, Unbound Joy - A recruitment ad for the Tabletop Troupe.
Rewards
For each stage completed with a Rave Review, you earn:
80 Primogems
40,000 Mora
Additional items like Hero’s Wit and Character Talent Materials.
Completing all five stages yields up to 400 Primogems, with an extra 20 Primogems from the initial event quest, Filmmaking Notes. Rewards can be claimed until the event ends on March 24, 2025.
Current Status
As of today, March 18, 2025, all five stages are unlocked, with the final stage, Boundless Adventure, Unbound Joy, having become available yesterday, March 16. You have until March 24 to finish editing and claim your rewards.
