God's Unreasonable Plan

Sometimes we read God’s word and come across something that appears unreasonable or even irrational. Humanly speaking, I bristle at the commandments by Jesus to turn the other cheek or to love your enemies or even to go so far as to bless them that curse you. Likewise, as we continue our study in the book of Joshua, we come across what appears to be an unreasonable plan for taking Jericho. The plan communicated by God certainly had never been attempted in any other battle. Yet when Joshua and the children of Israel followed God’s plan, they won the battle without the loss of one Israelite. Each of us today face our own battles. The good news is if we will by faith follow God’s “unreasonable” plan, he will give us the victory.
