The Nephites Were Communist

Surprise attack coming from above, Nephites did a communism. Does this confirm Nephites are evil and hate the Jesus? Obviously not.

When it comes to discerning good from evil, most people are basically playing a simple word association game, if thing uses word that is like other bad thing, then bad. Communism bad, economic cooperation bad. Capitalism good, crisping pins and fine clothing good.

In order to truly discern good from evil. We will need to do better than these low level word association games.

Communism has become the big bad, the cold war boomer propaganda has fully taken over our minds and overshadowed the true warnings of our leaders. The problem with fighting communism is that it doesn't exist. Karl Marx is now a Ghost, no longer does he roam the earth as Telestial being. While certainly no tribe of the original 7 in The Book of Mormon had a monopoly on evil, some were majority shareholders and sat on the Board of Directors of the Capitalist Council of Gadianton.

If we are to complain about problems in the Church, BYU or elsewhere. It is better to identify specific individuals, rather than getting stirred up to anger against the vague boomer caricatures of the "robber" ideologies.
