Why Asians forget including West Asians in the demographic?

In the media or maybe in any of the political debates, if you listen to the term Middle East, I’m damn certain specific countries come into your mind.

I bet there are so many of y’all Asians, who can never in their wildest dream fathom the fact that Middle East or countries residing in it are west or western Asia! Yes, friends, you heard it right.It is such a shame that there are so many Asians who don’t even know the fact, but why do we call the West Asia Middle East?

Actually the term Middle East originated in the British India office in 1850s and was popularised by Alfred Thyer and which then was adapted by Western or European media to club Western Asia, Egypt, and North Africa together. Of course, older Westerners had to club regions of two continents because they cannot work hard enough to dignify and label the regions correctly, simply because it’s not there.

Call it old Westerners ignorance or strategic move by labelling the region, Middle East, they actually created a lot of disassociation within the minds of other Asians of other regions as the landmass being some random region floating around on the Earth instead of it being West Asia.

Even in this day and age, so many of us still cannot convince our Asian minds to see all the middle eastern countries as West Asia, which actually should be known, marked labelled, recognised and addressed as West Asia.

The negative effects of other Asians dissociating the Middle East, as really being western Asia is that so many of us for so many years remained ignorant about the region, thinking that "that’s not Asia. Why should I care?" or else "yet another war in Middle East fuck it not my region, not my problem."

Whereas we should have cared, we should have seen them also, as Asians, the same way as we are and should have included them in our collective Asian pride!

Western media time and time always love to distort any message, which is not there's. All of us have the evidence for it, but the sad part is that for so long, we allowed them to explore our ignorance.

Did you ever think all those wars which were waged in the Middle East were wars on Asia and in Asia?Those are actually not just wars in the Middle East, but are wars in Asia, West Asia to be more specific.

Of course, we didn’t give a dam because in our minds, we never saw that the region or countries in that region as Asians.

Hence, this video will also be focusing around. What can we do to resolve this situation so that moving forward the people from the Middle Eastern region also feel equally Asian like with the Asians of other regions.

it’s high time we start seeing the Middle East as what it is, which is west Asia and start uniting ourselves as Asians to make our continent livable, breathable, war free, conflict free, best, and successful continent to be born in or reside in.
