The Islamic view of Jews and Christians

According to the Quran, Mohammed is a prophet to the Arabic people bringing the same message found in the Torah and the Gospel. But the Quran also calls the Jews and Christians "the worst of creatures" and calls for their destruction. We also see that Mohammed may have been confused about what they actually believe. Either way, these verses have influenced the way Muslims have treated the "people of the scripture" for centuries.
