SE4PARKES011 Throwback Thursday 20th March “Time to stop the problem?”

Today we’re throwing back 50 years to the month - an interview 6 years before Ronald Reagan served as the 40th President of the United States.

When thinking about where we are at, I can’t help but wonder about the definition of insanity, and if we keep doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result?

Over the past 50 years, we have had Blue Governments and Red Governments, some for many years at a time… and look at where we are today? This is not a criticism, just a fact. Can we keep switching between blue and red and expect anything to really change? Surely we can at least acknowledge that?!

It’s time for real change. It’s time for gold. The Libertarian party, myself included will fight to fix the problem, to increase honesty, transparency and accountability, we’ll work hard to reduce the size of government and make what government and public service is there to be efficient, effective and responsible.

It’s is not governments role to take as much tax from us as possible to then dish it back to us in promises at election time and then forget said promises when elected. It is not acceptable that they inefficiently and ineffectively use tax payer money to deliver services that are not needed or duplicated, or that they just fail to manage the tax payer money responsibly.
It is not for bad governments to find the answers to keep us somewhat satisfied, it is up to us to change the bad governments!
