HERE'S THE PLAN!

Content Warning is a 2024 co-op survival-horror game by Landfall Publishing, released on April 1 as part of their April Fools' tradition. In the game, up to four players dive into the "Old World," an underground, abandoned realm filled with physics-animated monsters and cursed relics. The goal is to film scary footage with a video camera, survive threats like oxygen depletion and monster attacks, and upload the clips to "SpöökTube" to go viral. Each run lasts three days, with ad revenue from views used to buy gear like flashlights, boom mics, or emotes to improve future recordings.

The game, developed over six weeks, exploded in popularity, hitting 200,000 concurrent Steam players within 24 hours of launch, with 6.2 million users claiming it during its free first day. It’s been praised for its chaotic, funny multiplayer vibe—think filming a friend getting grabbed by a snail-like monster—but criticized for repetitive gameplay and lack of depth, with some calling it a flash in the pan compared to Lethal Company. No further updates are planned as the small dev team has shifted focus, though ports to other platforms are in the works for 2025.
