DON’T DESPISE SMALL THINGS

Often, in my early morning prayer and journaling time I ask God “What do you have for me today? What do you want me to know today?”
Upon reflection, what I find to be very interesting, is that God doesn’t ask me to do monumental things for the day. He may ping me to make a phone call to someone I need to talk to. He may give me inspiration for a podcast. He may encourage me to connect with my kids. He may say yeah you gotta work on your taxes.
These things arise in my awareness, like downloads and I feel open to doing them.
Every one of these downloads are really just a small beginning. It’s like He is a lamp under my feet step-by-step.
I am realizing right now as I write this, that for us as human beings —- it’s all small beginnings every hour, every day. The true expansion of our goals and dreams is really all in his power and might and timing.
Step by step following divine guidance and timing. We can grip and be nervous and anxious and fearful, or we can let go and trust and enjoy the ride and do our small beginnings each day with joy, peace and anticipation.
Zechariah 4:10 “Who dares despise the day of small things"
