Cat Lion - Two Lives

With her captivating mix of grounded country rock and catchy pop, Cat Lion has been one of the most exciting and promising solo artists in the European New Wave of Country Music for nearly three years. Following celebrated performances at numerous renowned country festivals, the Austrian singer-songwriter is set to release her highly anticipated debut album this coming May. Now, she’s giving fans a first taste with the release of her lead single, "Two Lives"!

Even as a little girl, Cat Lion was fascinated by the unique look of cowboys and cowgirls — and by the great promise of freedom that country music embodies. Today, she reinterprets that spirit in a modern way for a multi-generational audience. For the recording of her upcoming debut album "On My Cloud", she traveled to the legendary Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville, where she surrounded herself with some of country music’s finest. Together with all-stars like Jon Conlay (Johnny Cash, LeAnn Rimes), Dan Dugmore (Linda Ronstadt, Billy Ray Cyrus), and Michael Rojas (Faith Hill, Lady Antebellum), Cat explores all facets of love: longing and romance, but also heartbreak and loneliness—always tied to the courage to change and the belief in oneself.

With effortless style, the charismatic Rhinestone Cowgirl blends traditional country roots with breezy pop, pairing her signature western hat with high-fashion aesthetics for a powerful crossover —bringing together two seemingly different worlds. On her debut single, the bittersweet stomper "Two Lives", she tells a story of love and incompatibility. "I like stories that everyone can relate to, experiences we all go through in one way or another. Two Lives is about two people who are simply too different and eventually realize they don’t truly belong together. It’s also about the courage to go against your own heart and choose your own path.”

Cat Lion’s debut single "Two Lives" will be released on March 14, 2025, with her full album "On My Cloud" following on May 30, 2025.
