GRANDMA'S GETTING DEPORTED TOO? Convicted Criminal & Illegal Immigrant Activist Arrested By ICE

Jeanette Vizguerra, a 53-year-old Mexican immigrant and mother of four, was arrested by ICE agents on March 17, 2025, in the parking lot of a Denver Target store where she worked. Previously, Vizguerra had evaded deportation by seeking sanctuary in Colorado churches for several years, a move that led to her being named one of Time's 100 Most Influential People in 2017. Her initial encounter with ICE dates back to 2009 when she was found with a fraudulent Social Security card. Despite multiple deportation orders, she remained in the U.S., advocating for immigrant rights and criticizing former President Trump. Former Denver ICE chief John Fabbricatore described her as a "horrible and smug" criminal. Vizguerra is currently detained at an ICE facility in Aurora, awaiting deportation proceedings.
