Eddie Jordan, the charismatic founder of Jordan Grand Prix and a beloved Formula 1 personality, has passed away at the age of 76 after a courageous battle with aggressive prostate and bladder cancer.
Born in Dublin, Ireland, Eddie's journey in motorsport began behind the wheel. He was into karting from a young age. His vision as a team owner left an indelible mark on Formula 1. Establishing Jordan Grand Prix in 1991, he provided a platform for numerous talented drivers, including giving Michael Schumacher his debut in 1991, and Damien Hill raced for him.
Beyond the pit lane, Eddie's larger-than-life personality transitioned seamlessly into broadcasting, where he became a very popular Formula 1 pundit, sharing his insights and passion for the sport with fans worldwide.
