In a secret government experiment, scientists attempt to establish contact with an alien race from the distant planet Chromo. Using a matter transporter, they agree to exchange one human prisoner for an alien visitor. But when the alien—a strange, slug-like creature—arrives on Earth, it soon becomes clear that it may have its own hidden agenda.
