When Cops Are The Bad Boys Vol 6

On November 20, 2023 Leslie Johnson a Police Officer of the Dolton Police Department located in Dolton, IL was engaged in a foot pursuit for 4 black men with guns. Johnson had responded to the call after it was requested by a neighboring police department. He chased 2 individuals into a residental area when he came across a 14yr old Autistic black boy in his own back yard. Officer Johnson believed this was one of the suspects and deployed his taser twice that caused the boy to fall on the ground and the boy suffered a fractured hip as well as trauma of the arrest.

On February 7, 2024 Johnson was fired from the Dolton Police Department. Johnson is considering taking legal action against the Village and Police Department. He had only been with that department about 3 months when the tasing took place.

As of February 2024, it is unknown if the family of the Autistic teen plans to file a lawsuit with the Police Department
