Memories of my maternal grandfather
48
You think about dying a lot when you work in the mines. It is a dehumanizing experience and many people don't realize the kind of culture it makes. He really believed in God because he was constantly thinking about dying and where he would go.
My grandfather and his father worked in the mines to support their families. My grandfather did not talk about what it was like in the mines.
I think that he was and is a remarkable man.
Bringing children into your family can solve a lot of problems in your life.
