Welcoming the first day of spring with a fresh knife painting of a single dandelion popping up from the dampened and recently dormant earth.

The dandelion is known to be a pesky weed, while their greatness for both the environment and health is often overlooked. Yet in many cultures around the world, this humble plant is a symbol of hope, healing, and resilience. Inspired by the jagged shape of its leaves, the weed’s common name derives from the French term dents-de-lion, meaning lion’s teeth.
