Brilliant but overlooked scientist Richard Bellero (Martin Landau) accidentally makes contact with an advanced alien being. The creature arrives on Earth, carrying a powerful protective force field, which Richard’s power-hungry wife, Judith (Sally Kellerman), sees as a means to secure her husband’s dominance in the scientific world. However, her ruthless ambitions set off a tragic chain of events, leading to unforeseen and deadly consequences.
