Dystopian digital Future? Report from the AI-frontline

Are the internet or blockchain really big, or is something else going to blow it all away? Developers say there's nothing bigger than connecting the living minds to the cloud. Many technologies developed by Silicon Valley and the military are entering terrain no one has been before. They can accurately measure neuronal connections and actually communicate with peoples' brains. The salient point is that this technology is non-invasive, meaning they no longer have to put any chip inside. What the public calls ‘the internet of things’ is called ‘the internet of living things’ by the developers. What are the human costs involved in this potentially dystopian outlook?
