Although all of these discoveries are extremely fascinating, it can be argued that they all pale in comparison to the submerged global wall. It seems impossible that it is a naturally occurring formation, and it if it is real, it would all but prove that there were highly advanced ancient civilizations in existence thousands or even millions of years before the ancient civilizations that we already know about.

However, because the implications are so shocking, the evidence that proves the reality of the wall must be beyond contestation. Many of these discoveries have been rightly explained away by “Google Earth glitches” before, in large part because the panorama created by the stitching of multiple photographic images sometimes produces truly unrealistic—and inaccurate—results. Computer software is great at creating apparently seamless and flawless images, but sometimes it must make digital hypotheses and corrections in order to do so. As mentioned, skeptics have used these “honest mistakes” to offer counter-conclusions to previous underwater discoveries such as a Portuguese pyramid estimated to be over 20,000 years old.
