The Sheep Hear His Voice

The porter is the man that was left by the shepherds to take care of the sheep at night, while the shepherds returned home. Do you see the parallel? The porter is the Holy Spirit. Forty days after His resurrection, Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven and then ten days later, the Holy Spirit was given. God sent another Comforter, the Holy Spirit, after the ascension of Jesus Christ. The Porter cares for the sheep until the return of the Shepherd. And when He returns, He is going to call for His sheep by name.
