Mike Benson, a small-time crook, and Laura Hanley, an ordinary woman, are mysteriously transported to an alien world. There, they are forced to participate in a deadly gladiator-style game against monstrous alien opponents. The stakes are high—if they win, Earth is spared from destruction, but if they lose, their planet will be annihilated.
