Is something truly good or bad? This ancient story reveals a powerful lesson about perspective.

A farmer’s horse runs away—his neighbor calls it terrible news. Then, the horse returns with seven more—the neighbor calls it great news. Soon after, the farmer’s son breaks his leg while taming a wild horse—terrible news again. But when war breaks out and the son is spared from being drafted, it’s suddenly great news.

Through it all, the farmer simply says: “We will see.”

Life’s events are neither good nor bad in isolation—it’s all about perspective. What seems like misfortune today might be a blessing tomorrow. How do you view challenges in your life?
