In the netflix crime drama adolescence Jamie was many things. To his school he was a cis het white male. To girls he was an incel. And to his psychologist he was a victim of toxic masculinity. The one thing he was never allowed to be, was a boy. The blame for that lies far less so on the manosphear or incel culture or even on social media then it does on a society drowning in toxic femininity
