Turkiye protests over arrest of Erdogan rival, Istanbul mayor

Thousands have rallied behind Ekrem İmamoğlu after his arrest on charges of corruption. The Istanbul mayor says the allegations are politically motivated and protesters have clashed with riot police armed with pepper spray and water cannons.
