Feeling Safe

How are we safe when criminals have security clearance in the name of national security that work for our "Gov" & with a click &/or a forged doc, can lock a persons life down on a whim, who can also pay off, bribe, coerce any official, person/ business to keep their mouth shut. Where is America?
