In a March 24, 2025 interview, she suggested that dealing with Cruz requires a more aggressive approach, stating, “I think that you punch.” She further escalated her comments by saying, “It’s Ted Cruz—I mean, like, this dude has to be knocked over the head, like, hard.”

Crockett emphasized her belief that Cruz doesn’t deserve polite treatment, adding, “There is no niceties with him, like at all.” She concluded her remarks with, “You go clean off on him."
