Star Trek fans know April 5th as First Contact Day — the fictional moment humanity met the Vulcans and began a new era of peace. That spirit of unity and discovery inspired me to approach this Community Day differently — not just to catch Pokémon, but to make real-world first contact with other players.

As a Christian, I believe God can use anything — even a mobile game — to bring people together. Through kindness, conversation, and presence, we can reflect the love of Jesus without saying a word. This Community Day, I made it a mission not just to hunt shinies, but to be a light in my local community.
