Claire is home alone on a stormy night when she hears a **knock at the door**. Through the peephole, she sees **two pale children with black eyes**, begging to be let in. Remembering an online warning about **Black-Eyed Children**, she refuses.

But the knocking grows louder. Suddenly, they appear **at her window**, their eyes soulless and cold. Claire locks herself in her bedroom, but the children’s voices **echo inside the house**.

As she hides, **cold, pale hands** grab her ankles from under the bed. She screams. By morning, **Claire is gone**, and the front door is wide open. The only sound is the faint whisper:
**“Can we come in?”**
