Exodus 26 – The significance of the Tabernacle and what is speaks of 2017

Exo 26:1
"Moreover you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twisted linen and blue and purple and scarlet material; you shall make them with cherubim, the work of a skillful workman.

The linen covering was beautiful and the result of skilled workmanship.

Exo 26:2
"The length of each curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits; all the curtains shall have the same measurements.

The linen covering with the cherubims sewn in speaks of the deity and holiness of Messiah. This covering is what is seen if one is inside the Tabernacle. The length of the curtains was only 28 cubits. That length did not allow them to touch the ground. The holiness and righteousness represented by this beautiful linen covering was not intended to touch the ground.

Exo 26:3
"Five curtains shall be joined to one another; and the other five curtains shall be joined to one another.

Exo 26:4
"And you shall make loops of blue on the edge of the outermost curtain in the first set, and likewise you shall make them on the edge of the curtain that is outermost in the second set.

Exo 26:5
"You shall make fifty loops in the one curtain, and you shall make fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that is in the second set; the loops shall be opposite each other.

Exo 26:6
"And you shall make fifty clasps of gold, and join the curtains to one another with the clasps, that the tabernacle may be a unit.

This linen covering was the innermost covering of the tabernacle. It had three coverings on top of it, so the beauty of the linen with the cherubs could only be seen from inside the tabernacle. The linen covering with the cherubs speaks of the deity of Messiah

Exo 26:7
"Then you shall make curtains of goats' hair for a tent over the tabernacle; you shall make eleven curtains in all.

Exo 26:8
"The length of each curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits; the eleven curtains shall have the same measurements.

The second covering was made of goats hair and it was 30 cubits long. This means that this covering touched the ground. The goatskins speak of the sacrifice He became for us. He was literally our scapegoat in order for us to inherit His righteousness.
