Alejandro De La Torre is the CEO and co-founder of DEMAND, the world's first Stratum V2 Bitcoin mining pool12. Launched in November 2023, DEMAND’s goal is decentralizing Bitcoin mining pools and empowering solo miners.

De La Torre, a veteran in the Bitcoin mining industry, has held key roles as VP at major mining pools Poolin and [BTC.com](http://btc.com/) and contributed to Block’s development of Bitcoin mining hardware. With experience establishing mining operations worldwide, he founded DEMAND out of concern for the growing centralization in Bitcoin mining, believing that excessive control by mining pools undermines Bitcoin’s core decentralization principles.
