at the time when he jumped my father had just turned 18 years old. he's with the 507 PIR 17th airborne division US Army airborne. on March 7th he turned 18 years old. my father was just a kid and he was already jumping out of planes into war zones. he was stationed in England crossed the English channel and jumped in Belgium crossed the river Rhine and after killing 23 Krauts and a Fraulein in order to survive, he was then put in a guardsman position to guard German pows.

that was 70 years ago. his name is Edward J WOJTAL private first class.
but to me he'll always be Daddy.
