The big fat black guy from last night who told the kids to go home. I could see in their eyes they were really afraid of him. He may have drunk the blood of the ultimate head vampire too. At the vampire planet they all consume the blood of the ultimate ruling vampire.

What if the head vampire gets replaced?

More evidence that they have these crazy ceremonies. When I was at the vampire clinic at 2770 Van Buren, after I finally got admitted all the staff stood up andcheered for me behind a glass enclosure and held up their hands like I had made some kind of a victory. I suspect this is how they ring in a new vampire leader.

Now as far as the superhuman strength goes:

You see they have access to that strength that martial artists train themselves to have when they are in fight or flight. And of course you know that when you are about to die you have more access to this kind of strength than any other.

But suppose you are going to die and go to outer darkness? Well suppose the police or someone are able to subdue one of these people. The other thing is that familiars are almost always convinced that if they are going to be executed, they are going to outer darkness.

But suppose the police are able to subdue someone and they think they are through struggling. Well if they get a little rest and they know they are going to outer darkness, after a little rest they are going to get into that sort of panic--fight or flight--I'm going to die mode all over again. Especially if there is a rescue effort going on for them and they know it, they are going to fight like crazy all over again.

But there may be magic or something involved too.
