A Miami police officer has been suspended after being caught on video remaining in her patrol car while a violent mob attacked a driver in the middle of the road. The incident occurred on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Biscayne Boulevard near 14th Street, between the Arsht Center and the James L. Knight Concert Hall.

Surveillance footage shows a group of cyclists surrounding a driver, violently punching and kicking him, smashing his windshield, jumping on his car, and using a bicycle to further assault him.
