The Druids and the mysteries of the serpent.

This video looks at the magical connection between the Welsh language, the Druids, the serpent or adder, the phases of the moon, the human spinal column, and the powerful, awe-inspiring terrestrial phenomenon of lightning. All of which can be tied quite nicely to the emerging importance of the all-pervading universal force - the Awen of Welsh lore, the Maegen of the old Norse, the Chi of the Taoists, the Prana of the Vedic brahmins, the Mana from heaven in biblical teachings, the aether of the great Greek thinkers, or, on the human scale... bio-electricity.

The serpent is an age-old symbol of the spinal column - our central pillar and energetic conduit. In Welsh, the backbone is called "Glain Cefn" or the jewelled or stony ridge - a worthy epithet for the keeper and protector of our central nervous system.

In Druidic law, the famous snake stones or hag stones were said to offer protection, enlightenment, and better judgment. In Welsh, the serpent stone has a similar title to the backbone - "Glain Neidr" or "Glain Nadredd".

This beautiful connection can be further explored by examining the similarities between the appearance of the hag stone - known for its distinctive central hole - and the vertebrae bones of the human spinal column. This video emphasizes and highlights this potential symbolic link between the two and suggests a further relationship with the Celtic thunder god Taranis through his envoy the adder/serpent. Thus, supporting the connection between the serpent, the spine, and natural phenomena of lightning, natural electricity, or, on the human scale, bio-electricity.
