First Michigan Bird City

Roscommon has officially become the first community to earn the Bird City Michigan designation from Michigan Audubon. With this honor, Roscommon is aiming to install the largest Kirtland Warbler statue at the Craft Center, which is also home to the Kirtland Warbler Festival. So far nearly $16,000 of the more than $37,000 needed for the 6-foot-tall statue has been raised. David Barr Michigan News Source.
