These days we all believe we are in the most enlightened times. The power of knowledge at our fingertips. But the default setting for many is the idea of “knowing” rather than thinking something through. True critical thinking is gone. Social media is just an echo chamber causing us to rearrange our prejudices. Not to actually take in facts and possibly learn something. The current barrage of Tesla vandalism shows a childish and tribal mentality amongst many people. They think they’re fighting the good fight. A revolution to be proud of. All you’re doing is fighting your neighbours. Your fellow citizens. Nobody is perfect but we exist in a “cancel culture” where no thought is put in before action.
