The animals could have fit in Noah’s Ark because the Bible says Noah only needed to bring “kinds,” not every species. A “kind” is more like a family group (e.g., one pair of the dog kind, not every breed). With this in mind, the total number of animals would be much smaller—around 7,000 kinds, including birds and reptiles. The Ark was also massive, about 140 meters long, with three decks and plenty of storage space. Young, smaller animals likely were chosen for space and food efficiency, making it entirely possible for all the land-dwelling animal kinds to fit.
