AEW Dynamite 3/26/25 Review – MJF Rejected, Kenny Bored Us, Megan Bayne Shines! #shorts

This episode of Dynamite was a MESS. Let’s not sugarcoat it. Some parts were decent, most of it? A total waste of time.

We started with Kenny Omega vs. Blake Christian. Should’ve been a big deal. Wasn’t. Nothing of a match. Boring. Forgettable. Post-match promo from Kenny? Flat. Mike Bailey face-off? No buzz.

Then we “heard from MJF,” who was offered a spot in the Hurt Syndicate. MVP comes out, MJF accepts. BUT—Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin REJECT him. And they hint it’s because of his skin color?! What is going on here?! AEW trying to be edgy and failing—badly. Big Bill and Bryan Keith try to step up for tag titles—they’re not good, and they got rejected too. Whole segment was a trainwreck.

Brody King vs. Kyle Fletcher? Good match. Second rope brainbuster for the win. Post-match beatdown, but Powerhouse Hobbs saves the day.

Then we get Hobbs vs. Mark Davis... boring. No energy. Spinebuster, done.

Swerve Strickland promo segment with Jon Moxley—they tried to make it feel big. It didn’t. Moxley is world champ, Swerve is #1 contender, but the spark just isn’t there.

Top Flight squash two jobbers in their hometown. Why even book this? No effort.

Mark Briscoe vs. Takeshita was solid. Takeshita wins with Raging Fire—very fine match.

Main event women’s tag: Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford beat Toni Storm & Thunder Rosa. Bayne pins the AEW Women’s World Champion with a Face Decent. That’s how you build a title match, folks!

Bottom line? AEW is confused. MJF getting rejected over race? Insane. Kenny’s opening? Flat. Megan Bayne? Star in the making. The rest? Needs a total overhaul.
