Let’s stop pretending, folks. On AEW Dynamite, MVP tried to bring MJF into the Hurt Syndicate—and what happened? Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin said NO.

Now, they claimed it’s because MJF “can’t be trusted.” But come on—we’re not stupid. Everyone watching saw what this really was: a racial undertone so obvious, it might as well have been in neon lights.

MJF—one of the best talkers in the business, former world champion, one of the biggest stars AEW has—and you’re saying he’s not good enough for the Hurt Syndicate? Please.

This wasn’t about trust. This was about sending a message, and that message was loud and ugly. And don’t give me “they’re heels” or “it’s just story”—racism doesn’t become acceptable just because you call it a gimmick. You don’t push this on TV and pretend it’s clever. It’s not edgy. It’s lazy. It’s disgusting.

MJF made that segment watchable. Big Bill and Bryan Keith showing up didn’t help—they’re not over, they’re not ready. The whole thing was a disaster. AEW fumbled, again.

If WWE had done this, the outrage would’ve been nuclear. But AEW gets a pass from the media, as always. The hypocrisy is real. The racism? Even worse.

Call it what it is: disgusting, uncomfortable, and a massive L for AEW.
