Spring Break in Hawaii, Day Three: Skin Care & Cultural Appropriation

Cultural appropriation is all the woke rage.

And the conservative rage-rage.

Well, I’m joining in, and I doubt either side will be happy.

I made an unfortunate discovery in Hawaii.

The local Hawaiian government says it’s trying to be “eco-friendly, for the environment,” but I’m not so sure.

Do you know what mineral (or zinc) based sunscreens look like?

Before this trip, I didn’t.

Or, actually, I did.

Because mineral based sunscreens are important to both Aruba, and Costa Rica, two fantastic places I’ve visited.

(Seriously, if you can hit up either or both of them? Go.)

But, at the time, I didn’t have a joke to go with the application.

Now, I do.

Because the mind works in interesting (funny/stupid) ways.

This just popped into my head, so I asked the Mrs. to hit record on her phone, and two takes later, voila!

Comedic gold.

Or, in the least, comedic bronze.

Maybe a fourth-place finish.

I don’t know.

Either way, I doubt you knew where this video was going when it started.

I’m tricky like that.

Twists and turns, to get you chuckling.

It’s what comedians do.

Anyway, if you don’t already know—and I knew—look into the history of how Hawaii became a state.
