LSG beat SRH By 5 wickets in the 7th Match of IPL-25

The 7th Match of Men’s Tata IPL-2025 was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium Hyderabad on 27th March, 2025. In this match Lucknow Super Giants defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 5 wickets. In this match Lucknow Super Giants won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Sunrisers Hyderabad while batting first scored 190 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs and gave target of 191 runs to Lucknow Super Giants to win. In reply Lucknow Super Giants scored 193 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 16.1 overs and won the match by 5 wickets.
Sunrisers Hyderabad started badly and lost two wickets early at the score of 15 runs only.Abhishek Sharma was first to go caught by Nicholas Pooran of the bowling of Shradul Thakur after contributing only 6 runs.Ishan Kishan was second to go next ball caught by Rishabh Pant of the bowling of Shradul Thakur without scoring.
Then Travis Head with Nitish Kumar Reddy batted superbly and added 61 runs for the third wicket. Then Prince Yadav bowled Travis Head after scoring 47 runs from 28 balls hitting 5 fours and 3 sixes. Nitesh Kumar Reddy scored 32 runs from 28 balls which included 2 fours. Henry Klaasen made 26 runs from 17 balls hitting 2 fours and 1 six.Pat Cummins made 18 runs and Ankit Verma contributed 36 runs. Harshal Patel remained not out on 12 runs. SRH scored huge total of 190 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs.
Shradul Thakur bowled well and took 4 wickets.One wicket each was taken by Avesh Khan, Digvesh Rathi, Ravi Bishnoi and Prince Yadav.
In reply LSG scored 193 runs for 5 wickets in 16.1 overs and won the match by 5 wickets. Aiden Markram was first to go out caught by Pat cummins of the bowing of Mohammad Shami scoring only one run. Then Mitchell Marsh with Nicholas Pooran added 116 runs for the second wicket and ensured the win for LSG. Nicholas Pooran top scored with 70 runs from 26 balls only hitting 6 fours and 6 sixes. Mitchell Marsh played a gem of innings of 52 runs from 31 balls hitting 7 fours and 2 sixes.
Rishabh Pant made 15 runs and Ayush Badoni contributed 6 runs.
David Miller remained not out on 13 runs from 7 balls hitting 2 fours. Abdul Samad not out on 22 runs from 8 balls hitting 2 fours and 2 sixes.
LSG won the match by 5 wickets.Shardul Thakur was adjudged the Player of the Match.
