Calling Philippa Eilhart a healer is like calling a drowner a swimming instructor. Yet she remains one of the most powerful sorceresses alive. Though healing isn’t her forte, Philippa agreed to help cure Saskia, but the antidote required rare ingredients one of which was the elusive dwarven immortelle.

To find it, Geralt turned to his trusted friend Zoltan, who pointed him toward the deep mines beneath Vergen. With permission from Elder Cecil Burdon, Geralt descended into the darkness. After navigating the treacherous depths, he secured the herb and returned to the surface, ready to track down the remaining components.

But his mission wasn’t over. Triss Merigold was still missing, and Geralt needed something personal of hers to help Philippa locate her magically. His investigation led him to a dwarf named Mantas Birut, who told a wild tale of seeing a man and woman fall from the sky. According to Mantas, the man abandoned the woman, and a nearby troll found her.

Tracking the troll to a ravine, Geralt found him cooking up elf and onion soup, but confirmed that he had indeed cared for a red-headed woman before letting her go due to his wife’s jealousy. If Geralt wanted something that belonged to Triss, he’d have to do the unthinkable: reunite the troll couple.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (Polish: Wiedźmin 2: Zabójcy Królów) is a 2011 action role-playing game developed by CD Projekt Red, based on Andrzej Sapkowski's fantasy novels. As a sequel to the 2007 game The Witcher, it continues the saga of Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter known as a Witcher. Released for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, OS X, and Linux, the game immerses players in a richly detailed world inspired by Polish history and Slavic mythology. By September 2014, it had sold over 8 million copies, cementing its status as both a critical and commercial success. The series' acclaim continued with the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in May 2015.
