Biography
Dr. Janet J. Sawyer (Dr. JJ) has 33 years in public education teaching 22 years in the classroom and 11 years as a middle school administrator. As a principal, in the Cherry Creek School District in Greenwood, CO in 2002, Dr. JJ was awarded Middle School Principal of Year for the State of Colorado while working at Laredo Middle School. After she retired in 2005 she continued her work as a leadership consultant, working with over 2,530 principals and teacher leaders throughout the United States. She provided consulting and trainings for leaders focused on understanding and applying research-based leadership behaviors all aimed at improving student achievement.

Dr. Janet J. Sawyer (Dr. JJ), is an experienced Educator, Leadership Coach, Accountability Partner and a Published Author. She is committed to changing the way people think about themselves and others by understanding the importance of becoming Self-Aware, Intentional and Mindful when leading their lives and others. As an author Dr. JJ is a 3X International Best Selling author and received #1 Best Seller for her 2ND Edition of Mirroring Your Vision Become Self-Aware, Intentional and Mindful When Leading Your LIFE. Over the past three years Dr. JJ has been an Adjunct Professor for a Historical Black College and University (HBCU) Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio in the College of Education. Dr JJ assisted over 300 Paraprofessionals getting their degree in Education and 45 Student Teachers getting their teaching license. At this time Dr. JJ is a Personality Styles Specialist and team member with PeopleSmart Education certified in the PeopleSmart DISC Interpretation Method. She has been part of the PeopleSmart team since 2016.

When working with Sandra Davis, the founder of PeopleSmart, they have published EDUCATORS ARE AMAZING…EVEN US! This book is dedicated to Paraprofessionals, Teacher Aids and Parent Volunteers. Teachers Are Amazing…That’s Us! Teachers learn how to differentiate their instruction when identifying their children’s personality styles in their classrooms.
