Let us begin with the Word

Genesis 3: 23-24 Hebrew Tanakh
“So, Yahovah (YHVH) Elohim (God) banished him from the garden of Eden, to till the soil from which he was taken. He drove the man out and stationed east of the garden of Eden the cherubim and the fiery ever-turning sword to guard the way to the tree of life.”

Hebrews 12:29 Passion Translation
“For our God is a holy, devouring fire!”
כְּרוּב ḵerûḇ; of uncertain derivation; a cherub: — cherub, (plural) cherubims.
cherub, cherubim (pl), an angelic being:
• as guardians of Eden
• as flanking God's throne
• as an image form hovering over the Ark of the Covenant
• as the chariot of Jehovah (fig.)
The Word - כְּרוּב ḵerûḇ: Kerub: — Cherub = “blessing”
A cherub is not one of those baby knickknack angel replicas
A cherub is large, mighty, and all-powerful
The duty of the Cherub could be considered that of a Holy Watcher angel.
