Walter Bedeker, a selfish hypochondriac terrified of illness and death, makes a deal with the devil—gaining immortality in exchange for his soul. At first, he revels in his newfound invincibility, but he soon grows bored and seeks new thrills. However, his arrogance leads to an unexpected twist that proves even immortality has its pitfalls.
