European invaders labeled indigenous peoples, as savages. Claiming that they were violent and uncivilized, in order to de-humanize the indigenous, in order to justify their actions against them.

The term has been used to oppress and de-humanize indigenous and marginalized groups.

Richard Wolff is Professor Emeritus of Economics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a visiting professor at The New School, where he works on economics in the Marxist tradition. This is Richard’s fifth appearance on Robinson’s Podcast.
