From 2004, Metal God and a former frontman of metal band, Black Sabbath (later renamed Heaven and Hell) describes his personal philosophical approach towards religion and Satanic black metal.

Ronnie James Dio is considered by most in the metal rock community as THE greatest vocalist of that genre. Although most of the greatest rock vocalists emerged from the Birmingham in UK...Robert Plant, Rob Halford and Ozzy Osbourne - Ronnie was one of the few from US that some say blew the the competition out of the water. Phil Anselmo of Pantera/Down described RJD as a huge influence among many others. Listen to the track, Double the Pain and you'll realise how brilliant this man was.
