Nighttime Railfanning at Philipse Manor! Featuring the Siemens Charger SC-42 test train & new Acela!

Recorded in March 2025. An abnormally warm evening provided an opportunity to begin an early start to late night railfanning! So we took the opportunity and it was well worth it! We were hoping to catch a freight train and still had no luck. However, we got even better surprises while we were here! We caught two rounds of testing with one of the new Siemens Charger SC-42 locomotives which are supposed to begin service later this year. We also caught an equipment move with one of the new Acela trains which are also supposed to start service this year as well. Two major surprises that we weren't expecting to find! Those two catches made the evening well worth it! Enjoy all of the action Philipse Manor has to offer!
